RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- “Dynamite” David Cardey will be seeking his fourth straight USAC/CRA Sprint Car main event victory at Perris Auto Speedway tomorrow night, July 31st. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 7:00.

The last time the Riverside, California driver and his bright red #59 Sprint Car was bested on the famous Southern California half-mile dirt oval was on April 10th. In that race and the race before in March, Cardey was leading both mains when he was forced out (ran out of fuel and broken rear end gear) late in the race.

Even though he has thus far confined his USAC/CRA participation to Perris Auto Speedway in 2010, Cardey’s three victories is tops on the circuit. He is ranked eighth in points, just 18 points out of seventh.

Last Saturday night, the slender 34-year-old journeyed to Victorville Auto Raceway to race Don Blair’s #12 Sprint Car. Seeking his third consecutive win on the racy track on the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds, Cardey was running second in the main event when he blew a radiator hose and was forced to park it before the end of the race.
