NASCAR Holdings today announced an agreement to acquire the Grand-American Road Racing Association (Grand-Am). NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) The American Sprint Car Series Midwest Region will get its championship weekend of events under way a day later than planned, as wet grounds have forced the postponement of Friday night's scheduled event at the Butler County Motorplex in Rising City, NE. ASCS (American Sprint Car Series) After a two year hiatus, the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series, the premier touring series of Big Block Modifieds in the country, will return to the Lernerville Speedway to kickoff the first of day of the Advance Auto Parts Autumn-Motive Fest on Friday September 12. DIRT (DIRT Motorsports) Officials with the O'Reilly/NCRA modified division presented by ICM/Ethanol have announced that the scheduled September 13 show at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas has been canceled and will not be made up. NCRA (National Championship Racing Association) The annual Luxemburg Speedway two day fall classic presented by Augie's Sports Bar and Grill is slated for Friday September 12 and Saturday September 13 at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds. IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) When Ralph Andreacchi won the recent Pro Modified Racing Association, presented by Torco Racing Fuels Ontario event at the Grand Bend Motorplex over the Labor Day weekend, the Maple, Ontario racer became the 14th different winner in 18 races in the PMRA series history. PMRA (Pro Modified Racing Association) South Mississippi Speedway located in Pass Christian, MS near the MS Gulf Coast will be back to racing this Saturday September 6th. UMP (United Midwestern Promoters) Champion Racing Association Officials have announced the Contingency Awards for the Howe CRA Sportsman Series from this past Sunday's Howe 40 at Winchester Speedway. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR Holdings today announced an agreement to acquire the Grand-American Road Racing Association (Grand-Am). The future move will allow for resource sharing between Grand-Am and NASCAR while both organizations continue to operate independently. NASCAR Holdings is the legal operating entity that includes the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and many of its subsidiaries.
